At Rejuved, we offer a range of chemical peels utilising acids such as salicylic acid, glycolic acid and trichloroacetic acid to aid in removal of dead skin cells, reducing acne, minimising fine lines and reducing pigmented lesions caused by frequent UV exposure.
WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INVOLVE?
All chemical peels offered at Rejuved must be paired with a comprehensive skin consultation and skin analysis to determine the appropriate chemical peel to match your skin concern/lifestyle. After a thorough consultation, a full double cleanse will be performed followed by the chosen chemical peel and post-care, including a face mask to nourish and hydrate the skin. All peels have a minimum of 3-10 day downtime with aftercare to strictly follow—however this will be discussed during your initial consultation.

Superficial peels only affect the outermost layer of skin, while deeper peels penetrate into the middle or even deeper layers of the skin. The choice of peel depends on individual skin concerns, desired results and skin type, and will be determined during a consultation with your practictioner.
The duration of a chemical peel treatment can vary depending on the type and depth of the peel being performed. Generally, a chemical peel session takes about 30-60 minutes to complete. However, this timeframe may be shorter or longer depending on the specific protocol used, the size of the treatment area and any additional steps involved, such as skin preparation or post-peel care instructions.
Chemical peels can often be combined with other skincare treatments like microdermabrasion, laser therapy, microneedling or facial treatments to help enhance results. Skincare products containing active ingredients may also complement the effects of chemical peels. Consult with a skincare professional for personalised treatment recommendations.
Potential side effects and risks associated with chemical peels can vary depending on the type and depth of the peel, as well as individual skin characteristics. Common side effects may include temporary redness, irritation, dryness and peeling of the skin. In some cases, more severe side effects such as infection, scarring, changes in skin pigmentation or allergic reactions may occur, especially with deeper peels or improper application. It's crucial to undergo a thorough consultation with your aesthetician to assess suitability for a chemical peel.
